On the lot there is also a Finnish sauna heated by wood fire. Here you can enjoy the peace & quiet all year long. The fisherman can try his luck in several exciting fishing lakes and a salmon river. The area also offers nice hiking paths and great bicyling conditions. Not far away you find good golf courses, and if you are not afraid of heights you may visit the climbing park "Høyt og Lavt". In the winter there are prepared cross country tracks, and if you fancy downhill skiing Svartstad Skisenter is located within short distance. After only 1 hour's drive you will reach the coastal cities Tønsberg, Sandefjord and Larvik with a great selection of restaurants, shops, culture arrangements and beaches for swimming. This area has a high density of archaeological sites from the Viking Age, e.g. Oseberg (Tønsberg), Gokstad (Sandefjord), Kaupang (Larvik) and Borrehaugene (Horten).
